Drive-By Theatre

Inspired by NYC photographer David Bradford’s "Drive-By Shootings" project, my own taken-while-driving series began as a way to share a perspective of the city from an alternate viewpoint as well as to keep my photographic eye occupied during my commutes. The series has evolved to become a mobile movie set where I document moments when pedestrian and cityscape combine to form interesting scenes.

As a pedestrian most of us never consider our place in relation to the rest of the city as we walk along towards our destination. From behind the wheel, however, pedestrians are seen as on a stage, surrounded by buildings as backdrops and interacting with strangers as fellow cast members and objects as props.
